Our Alums

Once a Kino Student, Always a Kino Student

Celebrating the achievements of our former students and alums.

Every Kino student is encouraged to discover and explore their unique interests. We’re proud that our students continue to delve into their unique interests as adults. They follow motorsport, have developed an interest in typewriters, explore music and writing, racing, love being creative like glassblowing and volunteer work, and perform in bands as guitarists, vocalists, keyboard players, and bassists.

As a Kino student, you can be whoever you are and are encouraged to dig deeper and find what makes you unique. Our alums find ways to give back to their communities and continually work to be better people.

Jon Norman, a 1998 graduate of Kino School. “I would not be where I am today without Kino. As a Major in the AZ National Guard, I’ve logged over 3000 hours in multiple military high performance aircraft and have traveled the world. Kino allowed me to be a part of the learning process and explore in-depth the subjects I was most interested in, including electronics, web design, math, science and literature.
This gave me the freedom to find a path and a goal that drove me to succeed. Once I became involved with the Wright Flight program and flew a Cessna, I knew what I wanted to do. None of this would have been possible without Kino School.”

Jamie was eventually privately contracted to work as an accountant on NBC’s hit show The Player, an-action packed thriller taking place in Las Vegas.

“(At Kino), it was assumed that our lives were our own to live as fully as possible, to work towards whatever dreams we were passionate about, for ourselves and nobody else. That core belief was important to me then and is important to me now.”
