Fun at Flandrau Science Center
Mike and our new aide, Amber (who has a passion for Marine Biology), took the Midlevel on a field trip to Frandrau Science Center for the Marine Discovery workshop! Sponsored by the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, Marine Discovery is a hands-on program designed to teach students about the importance of our oceans. The Kino kids were thrilled with the opportunity to learn about (and touch!) the sea creatures.
Inter-homeroom Poster Contest
All 7 of our homerooms are competing to create the best poster discouraging cell phone use at school. As you can see, the students are hard at work coming up with unique messages and designs. The winning poster will be enshrined in the halls of Kino forevermore!
