Odyssey of the Mind
This year, Mike, our Science and PE teacher, is offering junior high and high school students an exciting opportunity to participate in the Odyssey of the Mind! It is an internationally recognized competition that encourages students to come up with an innovative and creative solution to any given problem through collaboration, critical thinking, and the application of classroom knowledge to real life. Teams will have to brainstorm, design, and engineer together all year to solve open-ended problems, ranging from building mechanical devices to presenting original skits or designing elaborate sets. Later this year, Kino’s teams will have the chance to compete with other schools from our region!
Junior High Spanish
The students in Cézanne’s junior high Spanish class are thrilled to be back at school! This week they are learning about “El Cucuy”, a legendary mythical creature from Latin American folklore, similar to the boogieman.
